Theresa Fitch's PledgePage

Last year, I participated in the Avon 3Day Breast Cancer walk from Santa Clara to San Francisco and it was one of the most incredible and most fulfilling events of my life. I was personally challenged by walking 60 miles and with raising $1,900 required to walk but I did it and I am coming back to San Francisco again this year to do it again.

I'll walk 60 miles with more that 3,000 other courageous walkers to raise money for breast cancer research and the net proceeds of this event will help fund breast health programs in every region of the country. The goal of the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade is to benefit all women and men with a special emphasis on reaching the medically underserved, including low-income, elderly, the minority and those with inadequate health insurance.

This year I am walking for my friend and neighbor Lori who is a two-time survivor, and my friend and co-worker Sheila and for all the brave women who face breast cancer every day. I am walking in the hope that one day very soon, there will be a cure and our daughters won't have to face this disease the way our sisters, mothers and friends have.

Be sure to check out my photos from 2001 and sign my guestbook.....I'd like to hear from you.
